That's what's planned for tomorrow, I just gotta figure out if I've got enough a$$ to push it back in the garage after cleaning it ;D

I washed down the block today, got it all nice and clean and oil residue off the engine, bell housing and wiped off the valve cover, I even cleaned the bottom of the engine, oil pan and transmission. I had the battery charging for probably 15 minutes while I rinsed it off and dried it as much as I could reach. Got in it to start and got a good prime from fuel pump, all lights work, and solenoid popped, but the starter never turned. Everything sounds good and strong but no action from the starter at all. Getting aggrivating!
I plan to try and turn the crank by hand tomorrow to make sure it didn't some how lock up, don't know how in the heck that could have happned it started fine and I shut it off before it lost too much oil the other day. I checked the oil level after I found the leak and it was just barely under the "add" marker. I even refilled it to where it was supposed to be on Monday.

15 minutes isn't nearly long enough to charge the battery...
Is the solenoid clicking when you try to start it?

No just one click then silence.
The car started with my truck hooked up to it on Monday after about 5 minutes of charging. Only reason it charged longer today was because I was letting the engine cleaner soak before I rinsed it.

An alternator puts out a ton more charging power than a charger.

You mentioned the ground strap was saturated in oil, you might try taking it loose and cleaning all the mating surfaces real good. A bad ground could possibly be the culprit.

Just to be sure it wasn't a charging issue, I took the battery out of my daily driver and put it in the car and got the same symptoms. Just a single loud click when I turned the key. It's like the solenoid is firing and after that, nothing.
Also, while under the car to check the wire to the starter was fine, I noticed a LOT of oil on the back of the oil pan between the pan and the transmission plate. If I had to guess, and right now that's all I've got, then that area would be the source of the leak, either the pan gasket or the rear main seal.

Also the engine spins freely with a breaker bar and socket.

I replaced the starter solenoid, had the starter tested at parts store, and checked all the cables to and from solenoid. Everything looked good, ran good, past test...
I tried the multimeter on the solenoid and had my wife turn the key, got 12v at the positive battery post on the solenoid, got 11-10v on the post that leads to starter motor, and got 9v on the ignition post. I don't know if that test did any good at all, but that's all I know to do with it now. I even took the battery out of my truck and put in the SVO, and the SVO battery into the truck and the truck started fine. The SVO had the same symptoms as with the original battery in it. I'm completely lost now with no idea which way to go from here. Help please!

FOUND IT! WOOT WOOT!!!
The ignition problem was the grounding strap from block to firewall wasn't doing it's job. I don't know how it's gone bad or whatever, but I put a piece of wire from a header primary to the strap leading to the fire wall and it fired right up first try.
Found the leak too! There is a teeny hole in the oil feed line that opens up pretty wide and SHOOTS oil out in a good sized stream. Stinger I'm placing an order now for a new feed line.

Good to hear you found both of the issues.

Yep I'm real happy! I just bought a set of 65lb/hr injectors from radguy here and can't wait to see how far I can get with it now.
I'm also planning to sell my road bike and hopefully use that money for a Boport head/cam combo so long as I get what I want out of it.

Typically I think the best look (that's practical) is to put the fender lip right at the top of the tire. Of course when running large drag radials, this doesn't work as well as they will typically hit the fender on a launch.

Yeah I'm worried a little about that. Most of what this car sees will be street duty, cruising and the occasional race.
