?? When You change the rear end on a 88 Thunder Bird and you put it on the Mustang it's a 1/2"-3/4"Difference. I Replaced the axles with Mustang Length Axles 31 Spline. Now it should be back to Normal right?

TC Rear is 3/4" wider because of the ABS rings on the axles, stock length Mustang axles should make it a "Mustang" rear again.

That's what I thought. I need to check the backspacing on the draglights. I am having tire rub on the outside Rear . I'll need to roll the outer fenders. Or more air in the bags.
Thanks

You should have good luck with 5.5 backspacing, that's what we run with tires as large as 28x10.50's. The lip is rolled though. 4.5 backspacing should work with 26x8.50's.

I am running the 28x10.50's and it rubs on a hard bumb or hard launch. I'll roll the lip to fix the problem. I should have done this before the paint..#@%$

I am running the ones that come on the T-bird (disk) with new calipers/pads. Yes, c-clip 31 spline axles with carbon fiber clutch kit.

ok because i was really confused how the hell you would be able to get the c-clip back in if using a mustang length with TC brakes. The c-clip rear requires an adaptor for the calipers.
You sound good to go though and should have and impossible to break rear.

whoa I read your reply to my post completely wrong. You still have a C-clips. I'm back to a little intrigued. I dont understand how it fits without changing the offset of the caliper bracket. Those axles should sit in just enough that when you put the rotors and wheels on, the rotor should hit the bracket?
Edit: T5 limit?
Whats your build?
