When i go to the trigger wizard, it says that my timing is at 36 degrees. Why doesn't it say 20, being as that is what my timing is set to? This is what i see after i set the timing to 20 like stated in the tunning basics thread written by Stinger. Scott Wilson (the person who made my MS2) said to leave the timing spout out, and never put it back in. Could this cause any ill effects on what I am experiencing? Also when i try to start the car it turns over for several seconds before the car actually starts, after which it idles fine. Any suggestions on this aswell?

I assume it's setup for direct coil control?
The main thing you need to verify is that commanded timing matches actual timing. In other words, if it's idling and says the current timing (viewing the timing advance gauge) is showing 32 degrees, you should be able to put a timing light on it and also see 32 degrees. Then you should also be able to lock the timing to 20 degrees in TS (under more ignition settings > fixed advance > locked and then typing in 20 degrees) and it be locked at 20 according to the timing light as well. Once this is verified, put it back to "use table" so timing will no longer be locked at 20 degrees.
With that said, Scott does some weird things with the "base" timing settings and I've never really understood the logic behind it. I've always just set it as stated above and not worried about it.
FYI my SVO's trigger angle/offset is set to 10.
