I'm shooting for hitting the track before the end of June. I have a ton of sorting out on the clutch, chassis and tune so even once its running it'll be a while before I try to knock out any kind of good ET.

Just out of curiosity, are you going to paint the k- member and steering rack?

The Kmember and suspension is powder coated and when cleaned off looks fine. The steering rack will get dumped for a flaming river or equivalent.

Have you ever drove a car with a flaming river rack? The reason I ask is I would like to know if it turns easier than a manual set up in a 67ish model mustang.

I wouldn't count on it...the steering ratio is much different between the two setups and the 67 steering wheel is quite a bit larger (more leverage). The 67 should be much easier to steer.

Ha is that sarcasm because I wasnt too sure about the crossmember. lol I put the trans where I wanted and whipped it up. When I do things like that I'm never happy with how they turn out.

No I'm serious! It's HUGE and shiney, and seems to be functional! Would make a great conversation at the track too.

WICKED BAD A$$ !!!!!!! It is coming along nicely! I can't wait to see some videos of it when its done. Don't forget to put the finished pics in the "cleanest engine compartment" thread. Mr. Barker is absolutely correct, the cross member looks good.

Thanks guys. I know that thing looks big and bulky but it amazingly close to a stock cross member and lighter than a TC one. Its made from an extra chunk of the 1 5/8" bars I had for the cage.

Yeah I believe the part number is 65005 Be-cool rad.
I'm working on gathering all the part numbers for every single system I've been working on. That way when its all done I can report exactly what worked (or broke.)
