have fuel has spark timing is a 12 oclock crank 6 o clock cam and distributor one any idea's or thoughts

Crank shouldn't be at 12 oclock, it should be pointing to center of auxiliary pulley, as should the cam (not at 6 oclock). See our tech articles for pictures and info for proper timing procedure.

Make it alot easyer for my self i went ahead and orderd new timing cover i can wait to get this fired up iv been around v8 and i rode in little turbo coupe and i loved it

In the meantime, just point the cam and crank to the centerline of the pulley that drives the distributor (auxiliary pulley) and they will be good to go. This is the more accurate way of setting timing. Use a straight edge (or even the dipstick) to line them up.
