I figured I should start a thread about my car. Started it life pretty rough. Me and my best friend got the car for 1500$ from a buddy I used to work with. Been working on it for 5 years pretty close to be done. install fuel and brakes . And make coolant lines and we are done just need to assembly . Shoot for the summer. Photos will be in no order really.

If you didn't know this rs turbo capris are the same as a v8 when it comes to brakes and other parts, mustang unlimited told me this. I got the wrong parts at auto zone cause they just gave me mustang 2.3 parts when I really need gt stuff .
Also the capri came about because of roush racing. Hes the reason for the bubble glass less drag, etc. they had to sell the capris because they change enough they didn't match the production cars enough. Kinda like why they started selling evo's to different from a stock lancer etc.
Back story. We got the car off of a co worker he Swapd a 5.0 in when his 5.0 capri car was set on fire . He still had the stock 2.3 and we put it back in . Floor was all gone.

Pic showing how we mounted the rad... 1 inch stainless pipe. Conduit clamps with rubber from bungee cords . And 80$ stainless pipe clamps used to hold tubing in the bio field lol bolted to the frame rail. Still need to make a Skelton for the ducting and I can start laying down carbon fiber.

Looks good, I was going to mention the need for ducting but I see you've got that in the plans.

Yeah lol I'm debating masking every thing off and using expanding foam to make a mold and make it out of carbon fiber. Or use thin sheet metal. Not looking forward to all the cuts of sheet metal vs carbon fiber splinters etc. Where debating if we should paint the oil cooler black to keep the sleeper look.
