This kit includes an angled 2.38" coupler with two hump sections for additional flex to attach the turbo outlet pipe to the throttle body on non-intercooled 2.3T vehicles (83-86 Turbo Coupe, Merkur XR4Ti, Turbo GT). The two included T-Bolt clamps ensure the couplers don't blow off under boost. Our silicone couplers are constructed of 4 ply material, temperature rated to 392 degrees F, and pressure-rated to 43.5 psi at that 392-degree temperature.

does this work without having the aluminum pipe the bolts to the turbo outlet?

No, it connects to the aluminum pipe on one side and the throttle body on the other...just like the stock coupler.

Oh I don't have that pipe and I've already ground the ears off to get ready for your front mount kit but some things came up and I'm going to have to run without an intercooler at 10 psi for a little while. I'll make something for it till I get the intercooler

Ok so you'd use this if you were going to run without an intercooler for a bit but where would the BOV go ?

Yes, it's a replacement coupler for the stock "non-intercooled" 2.3T engine. No BOV is needed for a non-intercooled setup.
