The past few months have been pretty hectic, and I haven't had much time to work on the Svo. I did get a few things knocked out this weekend though. I swapped the factory front brakes over to 13" Bullitt setup. Replaced the factory rack with a Flaming river 15:1 manual, and finished up most of the wiring/installation of the SDS. Just waiting on Bo now. On another note, one of my only running cars broke down on me this past week, again. It's a 1970 WV beetle, with a worn out Saab v4 Engine. Instead of rebuilding the v4, I'm going to swap in a 2.3 with my extra parts . On another note.. We pulled the valve covers off the 427 this weekend only to find a cracked valve retainer. We're getting the heads freshened up, and upgrading to a high torque starter to deal with the brutal compression. Its gonna be nice to finally get her running again. Here's a few pics: , , , , .

Lol My pops bought her from a musuem in 1970. It was one of Gulf Racing's "backup" cars.(note the color) One of the only Comp cars(30 built) without a racing history. The last time it was fired up was in the mid 80s when my dad took Carrol for a ride in a parade in Alpine, Tx. I have personally never heard it run, hopefully soon though.. It has just over 10k Original miles.

I take it that's his retirement plan? That thing is probably worth 7 figures...
