I'm not convinced it's oil starvation as it's not uniform, nor does it follow a pattern that would mean a plugged oil galley. The engine only had a few thousand miles on it since a complete rebuild (before I bought it) so had the bearings looked good, there would've been no benefit to a rebuild.

since you were not the builder, and bought the engine already built, the clearances could be off enough to cause you this kind of grief. a crank ground to the high side by 1/2 a thou or so, a block that might need to be line honed. may have been a "production" shop rebuild, with clearances just "close enough" . major drag anyway you look at it.

I know who built it and talked to him before I bought it, as well as recently. He knows what he's doing and has been drag racing 40+ years...I highly doubt it was an assembly issue. The guy who owned the car on the other hand was a complete idiot. I'd be surprised if he ever changed the break in oil and since it was a stock injector/ecu setup with aluminum head/big cam, it probably detonated it's life away...

Ya u should get on that svo, You have to have some fun some time. Plus with all those parts u sell I know it will be one bad svo.
I know how it is when your in the automotive world, the last thing u want to do is work on your own car at the end of the day.

You're right...I don't want to work on it. I worked on a local's SVO free of charge for 3 hours yesterday to fix a boost issue but didn't even consider working on my own...

Took 3 vids with the GoPro looking out the windshield and my wife got a few with her phone from outside...nothing real spectacular though, I couldn't get the rear to stop doing the "one wheel peel" so the 60' were horrible so it killed my et by over half a second.
