Ok i just picked up two cars. 0ne 91 240sx and 1 87 TC i plan on swapping the tc motor into the 240sx just to make some ricers mad. Plus i dont think its ever been done. I am not worried about the custom fab work thats the easy part. What I am interested in is what is the best way to tune that ecu? Should i change over to the stang ecu or will a complete stand alone do better. Also what is recommended for the stand alone tuning and apprx cost. Over all im looking at putting about 450-500 to the ground. Also does anyone know any reputable tuners from chicago to Indy? Thanks

At that power level you "could" tune the TC ecu (convert it to maf, large injectors, etc.) and be ok. You could also get a Megasquirt standalone system and tune it that way. Either option, you'd be best off learning how to tune it yourself (as that is the beauty of either system). If someone else is going to tune it, you'll be best off running whatever system they are most comfortable with. Any system is only as good as the tuner tuning with it.
