Hey all, I'm newer to the Ford stuff and trying to figure out what alternator I have. I've attached some pictures of it to this post. (Via the app on my phone, so hopefully it works.) Also, once I know what version it is, I need to know the pinout for the 3 pin plug. Thanks in advance! I'm sure this is a super easy, but I haven't found anything to help yet.

It's known as a 3G alternator (3rd generation Ford). Should be super easy to find wiring info via Google with that information.

Yeah, I was looking for the stator wire connector and couldn't tell if it didn't exist or just wasn't visible in the pics. It's got the 3G/4G connector shape so I know it's one of those two. 6G is different, 2G has external fins and external regulator.
Do you have a picture of it from the pulley side/front?

I have this picture at the moment. Can get a better one later if need be.

Hmm, now I'm even more confused. 3G's have 3 sets of "ribs" on the front with either 2 holes or 4 holes inside each rib. Yours has 4 sets of ribs and 3 holes inside each rib. 6G's don't have holes in the front so it's definitely not that.

I'll have to dig the alternator that was on my parts car out tonight and see what it looks like. I'm thinking it's about the same though.

The guy I bought the car from said the alternator should be from an 87 turbo coupe, unless of course, the guy before him swapped it for something else.
