I see the aluminum direct replacement flywheel on your site that I'm interested in - and the stage 2+ clutch - I got mine apart because of some crazy noises (hoping it's the clutch and not the trans). Anyway, any issues going from steel to aluminum? Lotta 5.0 guys hate the aluminum ones because they say they bog the motor cause they are too light...Thoughts?

No issues going steel to aluminum from a mechanical standpoint. Having less mass will allow the engine to rev faster but as you stated, will also require more RPM to get the car moving (whether it's normal driving from a stop, or launching at the track). Some people are OK with this as they enjoy the quicker revving while others don't like having to rev it a bit more to get moving.

Gotcha thanks. Do you guys offer a steel unit for the SVO by chance? Also, I'm looking at your 3" DP - mine is attached to a cat that then slip fits to a Y-pipe that's welded to the mufflers. Do you happen to have a straight pipe to replace the cat by chance? I'm thinking mine is a bit custom so if I got your DP I'm most likely going to have to jimmy something up in place of the cat. Just thought I'd ask. Thanks

I'd need a pic of your exhaust to see what it would take.
Yes, we just got a billet steel version done. It's not listed on the site but it's available. It's about 15lbs instead of the 9lb aluminum version.

Does it never cross over to the other side?

Why are you wanting to replace it?
I'd imagine our dual exhaust midpipe would get it in the ballpark since it gets it to the center of the car but I don't know for sure how close it would be.

Since I went with vintage reg I want to lose the cat. Plus it's ugly up top. I suppose I don't really need it. lol

You can see the midpipe here, It's cut a little shorter to allow room for the cat but it connects the downpipe to the y-pipe:

Yeah I think I'd need lotta modding since my Y-pipe is welded to the mufflers. If I could just swap the new DP in w/o much trouble I'd do it but I'll stick with what I got for now. Thanks for the info. Also my flywheel looked perfect so I'll be holding off on that for now too. Just the clutch. I believe the add says bearing and tool - I'm assuming Throw Out bearing (or pilot?) Do you know if they come with new bolts??

The midpipe clamps to the y-pipe, you can see the clamp before the pipe splits.
Yes, throwout bearing. It doesn't come with bolts.
