LA3 swap into '92 Mustang w/2.3T. Pin 31 on the LA3 is for the BCS, and since I am not using BCS, it is left "open" (no wire).
Pin 31 on the OE 2.3 ECU is for the CANP solenoid.
I do not see reference to CANP in the LA3 pinouts I have seen.
Since the Mustang has a solenoid and it is connnected to the harness, but the trigger goes basically nowhere, how is the tank supposed to vent when using the LA3?

You either throw it all in the trash or convert to a "passive" system that doesn't use a solenoid at all.

Understood.
Trash option is out...gas fumes in the garage when the car sits overnight isn't cutting it. So that leaves me with option #2 (passive system)-which I am not sure I understand. Specifically the hose(s) and where they're supposed to go. Theres a vacuum hose that goes to the canister which is where the solenoid is attached. I understand the OE '92 Mustang setup but it's ECU controlled, solenoid is "opened" under the "right" circumstances, which the allows the fumes to be "pulled" into the intake manifold via vacuum hose. Since the solenoid is not in the loop with the LA3, how does one "convert" to a passive system?

Install a system from a non-computer controlled application like an 87-88 TC, earlier Mustang, etc.
