I need to re-route my oil cooler lines because of fit with a header. What is the best type of coolant line to use as it will be somewhat close to my header but still close to the block? Anyone have any pictures of how they routed lines after an aftermarket header?

The early engines with inline intakes used lives that ran down near motor mounts.

Best material for the lines?

Stainless steel would be ideal. High temp silicone or rubber hose would work as well if it's not touching header and has a decent gap.
