Well I'm partly back .due to health reasons I had to stop working on my projects. well its not like I could have I was hurt, but i'M getting better now, Im far from 100% but I can move a bit and do a few things. I got to take it ezzy thou its not like I can start swaping engines out, thats not going to happend for a long time but I can slolly work on little stuff like this. I instaled a turbo header on my turbo tempo was supposed to be direct bolt on but I had to mod it here and there but nothing a hammer and a die grinders could not fix. I made my self some header bolts took some hallen 10mm 1.5mm by 1" long bolts and modded them to fit. was a bit longer then expected but all looks good and tight. so here are a few pics. Grinding the bolts to make them smaller so they fit near the header tube. header new instaled [ not new anymore ] better pics looks very good like this some. in the futur I will have a good day with not too much pain I will bolt the turbo to this and take a few more pics. Yeah, that's the biggest problem with trying to do a stock location header...bolt clearance is non-existent.

But I got it done . took me 4 hours to instal a header. If I was at work my boos would have fired me.
we been having just the best weather here in Eastern Ontario canada is like 100Deg right now even if I dont like the head too much I tell you this In Sep I will take this any year.
I was working out side in the sun and I took my time but I did it right. Its still hard for me to work but its better.

Well just a little update nothing much just some parts I ordered for the tune-up and a intake gasket kit started to instal the turbo back on but its a bit hard for my arms so I took a break from that and I'M working on cleaning the intake its filthy. I will clean it up and pain it new I don't know what color to go red, yellow, black, or white to match the car. so here are some pics. I still need to change the hour on my turbo to make it perfect but that will have to wait for a good day with no pain or numness.

Progress is progress, regardless of how slow it comes along!
I'd take that oil back and get some 5w30 or 10w30 Mobil 1 or Valvoline...Pennzoil is horrible and that is too heavy of an oil for that engine. Don't need to put any more stress on the already marginal aux shaft gears.

That oil was not what I orderd I ordered 10W30 Full syntec pennzoil to get it running and tunes after that . royal purple or back to pennzoil.

Ok this part for me is the most important. it may not look much too yuo but for me it was the hardest part to get. I had to sell lots of stuff I liked and loved to buy this. But I was tyred of working with 1/2 hack wirering kits that was missing plugs and had cut wires and so on, now with this I know I can tune it perfectly and if I have a small hick up the chance that its the wirering is very low. Was new in the box here it is my car guy porn. Made for LA3 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT

Thanks man. I still have lots of work to do but I will have this thing readdy for spring 2011. after this is fully tuned and I have a few dollars I will order a MS2 kit from you for sure. I just bought this ECU and Vane Air Meter, I was offered to sell it . LOl the same guy that sold me the kit wants to buy it back at almost what he sold it to me for. but he will have to wait, since I need it for this summer.
lots and lots of work to do but I will get it in the end that for sure. the wirering job its self will take many days to do perfectly.
and the IC is far from done. and lots of cleaning and painting still to do.

Just a teaser. Tools needed. Pain, scraper, brake cleaner, toot brush, time, and a very powerful presure washer. the intake on this engine were so filthy it was unreal for a time I was sure I could not wash them clean enuff to pain them but after over 10 hours of cleaning and detailing I got them all cleaned up and painted. took me over 3 days, a few hours a day. let me tell you this if you have a crudy intake or car parts that has inches of dirt crud and oil of over 20 years on it ,well a presure washer will do a fine job at taking 90% of it off. well worth knocking on your friends door and going hey bud you lend me your presure washer ? so here it is. just a teaser it a far away pics I will have closer ones coming in a few days.

Ha! I almost said "hey buddy, that's backwards" until I realized it's a front wheel drive car!
Your progress is awesome. Wish I had the skills to get that much done with mine.

Yes Bob with a FWD I can't use most of the headers and the piping and intake you guys use, But I can replace my oil pan in 20 minutes. and I got to make my self a custom down pipe. Not that its a problem for me I work in a Midas muffler shop for over 4 years. has you can see I will have lots of work to do but this makes it look good. I'M not usaly the type that will go for looks but this is my baby and I need it to look good and be fast.

I'd probably remove all of the vacuum fittings and throttle cable bracket and paint them black to break up all of that red.

Some new hardware, bolts nuts washers, would help too. Some shiney and a little black or else that big red intake is going to be all any one can see under the hood!
