Hello All, I'm a medium level tuner at best... I was given a MS3 Pro on a trade.. its the discontinued one.. it is unused.. So the harness has to be made.. Are there any gains or drawbacks to this unit when compared to the PimpXS? For one being able to use the stock harness on a fox is a gain, I believe to the PimpXS.. what else?

Functionally they are very similar. The main benefits of the PiMPxs is the plug and play aspect (stock harness), the superior documentation specific to your application, and the support we provide that is both superior and more specialized (we don't try to be experts at everything, just 80's/90's Fords). The PiMPxs is also cheaper (even more so when you don't need a new harness) but that doesn't apply in your case since you already have one.

I'm looking to use the PimpXS with a carb style EFI intake multi port with a Holley throttle body.. the throttle body though has a GM IAC, IAT and TPS... is that something that can be made to work with the PimpXS? I know that i would have to change the connectors and terminals on the stock Ford harness..

Yeah, that's not a problem.

The GM IAC also requires 4 wires (dedicated that go directly to ECU, not power/ground) to work. If you are ok with giving it a little pedal for 30 seconds on cold start to keep it running, I would consider blocking off the IAC, as from a wiring standpoint it is a little trouble to make it work.

DO you have to remove it or just leave it unplugged? The IAT and tps is just a matter or swapping the connectors and making sure the transfer function is set correctly for the sensor used?

Unplugged is fine if also blocked.
TPS doesn't use a transfer function, you just calibrate it at closed and wide open and it knows what's going on in between.
IAT is just a selection from the drop down menu, assuming it's a GM sensor.

With a stepper motor like the GM IAC, you can't just unplug it. They can move/vibrate around when not powered. You either must connect it from a wiring standpoint, or block it.
