So I am pretty sure I have read before that the hydraulic clutch runs off of the brake master cylinder fluid. Correct me if I’m wrong. Well my brakes went out a few months ago and I just went ahead and did the conversation to get rid of the teves II brake system and go to the regular power brakes out of an SVO. After that I started to have issues with the clutch slipping so I went ahead and bought a Spec stage 2+ clutch and installed it. The clutch is still slipping at higher rpms and under boost. So it just dawned on me that the fluid ran off of the brake fluid but now is no longer connected. If that is all correct then how do I go about converting my hydraulic clutch to a cable?

I can't confirm whether it uses the brake stuff for anything clutch related.
If it does then you'd need a cable bellhousing and associates cables and such from a cable clutch 2.3 application (doesn't have to be a turbo application). Same goes for the pedal assembly stuff. Either swap the pedals or convert yours (if possible).

I've never messed with an 87-88 TC so I have no direct knowledge. Most hydraulic systems have their own slave cylinder and reservoir though.

Alright I’ll check it out. Another question. Could low or air in the hydraulic lines cause the clutch to not engage all the way and to slip like it does?

I would think it would cause the opposite (make it not disengage all the way) since it's job is to disengage, not engage the clutch.
