Well I've had a base PimpX in the truck for 8 months now and it is my daily so I've had plenty of seat time with it. It's a built 351W 84block forged rods hyperutectic pistons hardened crank. Aluminum heads with 2.02 intake 1.60 exhaust valves. Howard's link bar roller conversion and the PimpX on batch fire and up until about 3 weeks ago an E4OD run by a quick 4. I got tired of the auto and it didnt much care for the newfound power and with plans for boost I needed something better equipped so it's at my buddys shop now getting the finishing touches on a TKO600 I swapped in. It was a steep learning curve to say the least. I wont bash names but i did get parts from 2 well known "conversion specialists" and it wasn't quite right so I'm working through a few gremlins. But hope to have it back on the road soon.
A manual trans should make that thing a blast to drive!
I hope so that's the one thing I missed with this truck! The ratios seem to be a good match with my tire size and rear gearing on paper. I'm anxious to get it back on the rollers and see just how much power that e4od was eating up.

Got it running 500rpm drop with the new OD gear. Drives awesome now. This is how these trucks should have been stock. Not sure if I'll get a chance to compare dyno numbers with just the trans to see what the auto was actually eating. I've got a trickflow 75mm intake and accufab TB to go on. Should be a riot once the parts are on and tuned.
