Hot Rod Garage is featuring a ton of our parts in the latest episode as they take a stock 86 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe and try to make more power than double the stock power and exceed the power of a new 2.3 EcoBoost while keeping it near stock boost levels.
2.3's don't get much love on big shows like this so be sure to watch the episode (more than once even) to show there is interest. Also bug the co-hosts @tangelo96 and @mobiletechlucky about doing a follow-up episode where we can turn up the boost and aim for 400hp with twice as much boost and race gas and then take it to the track to see what it will do. They said it's possible if there is enough interest in the episode so spread the word. The more people that get interested in these engines the more cool parts we'll develop for them.
You'll have to sign up for a 14 day free trial to watch it at the link below. Otherwise it will be up on Youtube in a couple months and on Velocity Channel on TV at some point as well.
Watched the episode finally. Awesome. Wish they ripped on it more for the camera and got to the track. Hopefully they do a follow-up. They did a couple follow-ups on the 86 GT that they built so hopefully they do the T-bird too. Also congrats they represented you guys well...
It's been mentioned that they should do a follow up where they race the 86 GT now that they've done a follow up on that car and worked out the issues and got it running down the track properly. Hopefully they do so. The TC's got another 100+hp in it with a fuel pump and some more boost.
I don't know but my guess is it's not changed since the show. I know we didn't assist with any tuning, the guys on the show didn't know how to tune, and the new owner/seller (who looks like he just sells cars on FB so maybe he's a broker?) didn't contact us about tuning it or anything and new owners of our ECU's rarely "just do it" without any help/documentation.
