I have been thumbing through the forums looking for a comparison between the manual and electric boost controllers, haven't found one yet. I am going to install a Pimpx in this project (88TC 2.3 into 72 Courier) and am wondering if one has an advantage over the other?

Manual is easy. Just hook up two hoses and turn the nob in for more, out for less boost.
Electronic is less easy. Same hose hookup, plug in to stock harness, then enable in tune and follow the setup/tuning process outlined in the FAQ thread for dialing it in. Advantages once you've got it tuned is you can use the premium switch for high/low boost, can control how quickly it ramps up boost (slow down the ramp rate if it's blowing the tires off for instance), or you can enable boost by gear and control how much boost it gets in each gear (this only works if you retain the VSS sensor when doing the swap).
