so I have been having this issue for awhile now, 86 turbocoupe will pop and sputter at anything above 9-10 lbs of boost, wont build any more and just falls on its face, I have tried 2 sets of motorcraft pugs and wires gapped correctly (last time I gapped them well bellow stock with no change) fuel pressure seems to rise accordingly. wideband goes rich when it does it.
not sure where to look next, weak valve springs maybe? waste gate? my cheap mbc? I also check for boost leaks after the front mount ic install but I will check again. also it was doing this before the pimpx install and still doing it after
current setup stock motor 140,000ish miles pimpxs in batch fire, spartan 2 96lbs deka inj large front mount ic 340lph aeromotive pump

Datalog the issue, post the datalog and your tune to the PiMPxs section of this forum along with the info you posted above.
Valve springs will make it run rough right after you return to idle (like if it sputters and you push in the clutch and let it idle while you slow down). If it doesn't do that, they aren't the problem.
It's not the boost controller. It can't make it sputter, it only controls boost pressure.
Plugs should be gapped to .025". Stock is .043" or so.

ok I will get that done soon, I did gap them at about .025 the last time but I will pull them and check again, thanks. I did do a compression test within the last year and I don't remember the specific #'s but they were in the 175psi range and pretty close to each other, I haven't driven it much because of this issue
