(i have black seat covers now) Its a 1984 LX notch, 2.3t fuel injected and t5 from an 87 TC. when I fist got it, it was a 2.3 carb auto, very slow. I did 95% of the work myself, the only thing I couldnt mess with what head and intake work due to lack of skill and tools, and rebuilding the 8.8 I pulled from a salvage yard due to lack of tools. My current over all goal is to reach 400 rwhp and get in the 11's. In the engine bay photo above is my new setup Im working on, i plan on making 350 to the wheel with this set up, i will upgrade my rods and pistons before i attempt to reach 400hp. My previous set up allowed me to reach 286 rwhp and 283 rwtq at 20psi and i ran a 13.2 at 106. I did this with factory management and brown tops, the only thing i touched was fuel pressure and boost pressure. The car could have done 12's if I was a better driver, here is the time slip. I was in the left lane. Here is my overall current mod list. Current Engine Performance mods: * 1987 Thunderbird 2.3 turbo swap * Stage3 Bo porting * Essy 2277 cam kit * MSG blaster coil * Supercoupe throttle body * 40 Bob gutted upper ported lower, ported and flow tested by Bo-port * Proform Electric Fan * Oil cooler and adapter * Kirban fuel pressure regulator * 255pph walbro intank pump * Holset WH1C * Twin Tial MV-S wastegates * Delphi 85 pph injectors (893 cc at 43 psi Fuel pressure) * Stinger intercooler kit * Forge bov * NGK Iridium IX plugs * Bo-port twin scroll turbo manifold * 3"exhaust to Magnaflow with a turn down before axle * Stinger's "P.I.M.P." Current Drive Train And Suspention Mods: * 8.8 swap with 3:55 gears and posi * 31 spine axles * Spec stage3 clutch * 1987 Thunderbird T5 swap (B&M short shifter) * AJE tubular K-member and A-arms * Tubular upper and lower control arms * GT front and rear shocks * 265/50/16 BFG G-Force drag radials * 1988 GT front brake swap/upgrade * Aluminum driveshaft *Unisteer manual steering rack Monitoring Mods: * Autometer boost gauge * Autometer electronic fuel pressure gauge * AEM wideband Interior Appearance Mods: * Black arm rests * Black dash pad * Black lock knobs * Black latch bezels * Modified black lock switch bezels * Black e-brake bezel * Grant 415 steering wheel * Shift knob from an 88' mustang * Custom carbon fiber gauge plate * Green gauge cluster lights * Black seat covers * Black Turbo badge Exterior Appearance Mods: * 16" pony wheels * 2.3 badges If it wasnt for stingers how to's and and all the info on turboford and stinger and others answering my noob questions I ether would not be at this point.

how much boost you running on it The engine photo is of my new set up witch i havent fininished yet, there are a few things i have to finish up on it before i can even attempt to start it. On my old set up: i ran 20 psi. On the new one i plan on running 20-25 psi, witch ever of the 2 gets me closest to 350 whp then im going to hold off untill i get my hands on some rods and pistons

I,m going to Put some updates in here, sadly I havent really been able to get my hands dirty with my 84 in almost 3 years dude to my joining the army, being over seas and now stuck on the west coast (the Stang is on the east coast). However I have been hording parts for when I am able to have enough time to do anything, id like to share this. Here is an aluminum drive shaft I scored off ebay for a very cheap price, I need to have it balanced and the yoke replaced though. I went ahead and got this manual rack, I tossed the power steering long ago. I think i I got this from summit but i cant really remember. Here is my new k member. I just recently ordered the "PIMP" and I am VERY excited about that, I plan on saving up enough leave time to give me enough time to get this little monster back on the road and out of storage by late this year or mid next year. I also got this set if you couldn't tell from the photo, but i installed it befor i ws able to take any pics www.needhp.com/ford23roundtoothpulleyconversionkit.aspx but i dont remember it being that much.

Hey guys, In just a few weeks ill be visiting home for a while and ill finally be able to put my hands on the Stang long enough to make some real progress! The plan is to get it running again with in 5-7 days of arrival then Use some PIMP magic to get it tuned and road worthy hopefully in no more then 3 days. Once that's done and if all seems well otherwise ill be taking it on a 2800 mile trip across country with will probably take 2-4 days. Ill be taking lots of photos and video and ill be posting it all here first so i hope you all check it out . In the mean time check these photos out. My wastegates! The twin scroll with downpipe and dump tubes! close up of the excellent craftsmen ship (i don't know what i did with the close up pics of the welds) Interior as it sits... my big 16G vs the WHC1! I don't think i even put 5000 miles on the 16G, anyone want to buy it lol... I have a 12cm turbine housing on the Holset, iv read recently that a larger housing will allow me to run lower boost #'s and have more power vs the 12cm, id like to experiment but hey, one goal at a time right. I dont know why i didnt take a better pic of this but its a oil pain i had a fitting for the oil return line welded too for the Holset.

Well for anyone still interested.. Im home on leave with with one main goal, to get this thing on the road again. today is day one, so far iv gotten it out of storage for good, wash the 3 years of dust and grime its collected, rotated the center section of my turbo to fit my new oil lines and started routing the vac line for the wastegates and manual boost conttroler. You can expect update with at least 1 pic every day for the next 2 weeks until its done.

I haven't touched this thing in so long I forgot I bought certain things, Well today was kind of a bust I wont have any money until tomorrow when I Deposit my check so I didn't get to do much, I need to buy a new jack. I was able to do a few small things though. I starting working on getting the vacuum lines fitted and connected to the waste gates and to the boost controller, going smooth so far, it looks like its touching the turbo in the pic but I have plenty of room, once I tied it down it will be of no concern. the only other the fuel pressure regulator and the BOV still need lines and I have to feed the line for my map sensor threw the fire wall and that it for vac lines. I will need to do some adjusting to the cold side of the intercooler piping and wipe it out good be for I tighten it all up. Still need to buy a battery, the up radiator hose will be replaced with something can adjust around the IC piping. Just alot of little things left to do. Look at this Mess, i hate having so much stuff in here, I honestly forgot i bought newer E-brake cables, mine are all seized up but not for long! My manual rack in in the box and the aluminum drive shaft i nee to have balanced and the yoke replaced. Here is more stuff, my old turbo in the box witch isnt actually old at all. my replacement oil pan, I had a fitting welded on for the new turbo drain line, the header blocks the factory one.

Well today started off like a bag of SH#T and half my day was wasted but I took that bag of sh#t and set it on fire. I got a good amount done considering. started working on the k-member today and I also installed my replacement oil pan. not surprisingly i did have one hiccup though, I couldn't install my new k-member because my header interferes with the engine mount on the k-member. so ill find some where that will cut it tomorrow.
