The next batch is nearly done being assembled. Then they just need to be tested, have the firmware flashed, and then they are ready to ship. I'd say it's a few weeks out.

If installing the PIMP on an an SVO Mustang or Merkur harness, do you need to wire in a ACT sensor?

There will be a lot of PiMP's assembled this summer (most likely more than we've made in the previous 2 years combined). Whether or not you'll get one by the end of the summer I can't really say. It will depend on how many of the people in front of you don't respond or don't end up paying for a PiMP when it's their turn.

The differences have been covered in the past, a quick search should provide the complete answer. The "simple" answer is that the wilson unit is simply a kit designed to be assembled at home which you can buy from diyautotune, he then assembles it for you. It has a bunch of jumper wires soldered all over the board. Ours is built just like a factory ecu which means it has no wires internally except three going to the communication port (which is much more robust/reliable). Ours is also configurable by the end user without soldering to work in most 83-94 Fords while his has to be sent back if you want to use it on a different setup (which takes months to get back). Ours also comes with the tuning software ($60 value) and a 19 page startup guide and support forum. Wilson has none of that...
What makes you think you could get one "now" from that site? Last I heard it took months to get one there...

Thanks stinger for the info. I talked to him and he said if I ordered it today he could probably get someone to bump and get me one quick. Other than that 2 months or so. What about the transmission controller? again thanks stinger.

Biggest batch ever (18 units) is fully assembled, will be ready to ship in about 10 days.
I sent out emails/PM's in the next few days to the first 35 people on the list that their PiMP is ready.
List Updated.

Bloodire, what tramsmission are you interested in controlling? For transmission control that is cheap and simple, I recommend James Murray's code running a a cased microsquirt. This means you assemble nothing, and all you need to supply are power, ground, and two wire connetion to connect the CANbus of our microsquirt module based ecu to the microsquirt. We can also get you a price break on the microsquirt. see link:http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=123&t=30663
I know it is a long thread.
