I work in Louisville, KY. That's where the car is. I live about 20 mins east of there.

Hmm...I know a guy in the area that's messed with 2.3's quite a bit...not sure if he has time or would want to take a look at it though.

So it seems everytime I drive this car something is different. When I drove the caron Friday, could not go under boost, today I drove it and now I can go under boost like before( still goes lean after 10 pounds), but now I have a high idle(1500 rpm).

I'll see if I can get hold of him.

So a new thing is happening now. I thought I found out why I had a high idle, after messing with the pcv valve, no high idle. I put in a new valve, but now it seems to idle too low(will have to try to reset idle stradegy), but drove it today and had the high idle back(1500 rpm). Turned off the car(while driving), restarted car and idle went back to normal(1000rpm). Now while driving at cruise on the hwy, the A/F gauge is now bouncing from lean to stoich as fast as the lights can read, never goes to the rich side. At idle the gauge isn't as fast but does the same thing. I'm not sure any of this can help, but I'm trying to get you as much info as I can.

The quickly switching lights means it is running correctly at idle/cruise speeds.
Clean your IAC valve, reset the idle, and see how it works.

I will do that. Here is a little side note I forgot to tell you. This weekend when it started do that, the car is hard to start in the morning, when in open loop the car is running way lean( according to the gauge), seems to miss while driving. Have to go under boost to get the gauge to come up, is fine when the car warms up. Also when I go under boost and the bov goes off, I smell a strange odor, not raw fuel, smells kind of like I'm running race fuel. What that just be half ass burnt fuel from the timing not being right(always advanced)?

Cranking goes to base timing (no advance) when functioning properly. If you aren't getting this, it explains the hard starting. The gauge will not start swinging until the engine is warm (over 180 degrees) and going under boost on a cold engine is a bad idea.
