Was. I've already started removing it. Got quite a bit taken out, I'll work more on it Wednesday.

The plug wire off may or may not have been my own fault. I checked the plugs at one point and I must have forgot to put the plug wire back on.
The no boost problem I'm not sure about. I haven't been under the car to check and see if the wastegate actuator is hooked up or not. That'll have to wait until tomorrow. Any other situations that would lead to no boost?

Massive boost leak maybe, but that would I think at least build a little boost slowly, or at least make a lot of noise when it's blowing out of wherever it's leaking from.

When I bought my SVO, the compressor wheel was chewed up (looked like the wire in the VAM hose tried to go through the turbo) and it would only make 2psi or so).

I think the wastegate flapper is froze open. Dropping the down pipe tonight I looked up and saw it looked open.
I'm a driveshaft, a/c lines and the trans crossmember away from pulling the whole thing.

That would do it, though I've never seen one stick open since the actuator spring pulls against is constantly. They typically stick closed (where they are 99% of the time) or are disconnected.

And it looks like the no boost situation was due to the wastegate actuator being loose and missing a bolt.

Hey the bridge is out...
In other news, driving back from Table Rock lake a few months ago, I decided to go through Joplin to look at the Tornado damage and on my way to KC, I drove right by the drag strip....had no idea where it was until I stumbled across it on accident.

I'm just a couple miles south of the track in the little town of Asbury. If you blinked you probably missed it.

Haha, I was wondering if Stinger had lost his mind with that last post, until I went back and looked at that picture again. Now I see the sign!

It's something I've done since I bought this house. I find cheap signs at swap meets, buy them and hang them up in the shop. The other door is covered in plates and other signs.

No pics this time, but made headway last night.
Got the all of the accessories taken off the engine last night, pulled the cam cover and found that someone along the way installed a roller cam. At this point I was feeling pretty good, maybe it was rebuilt at one point. So I break out the leak-down tester, plug it into the #1 cylinder, make sure the cam isn't opening the valves and let the air pressure in. All I can hear is air leaking out of the exhaust port, so I put my hand up to make sure. Yep, definitely air coming out. I went ahead and pulled the head. Looks like to me the cylinders will need over bored and the head rebuilt. The car even had a stock head gasket, whether it's the original (had an E5 part number) or a replacement, I'm not sure.
Two steps forward, a dozen or so back....

Maybe thing of it as an opportunity to do a little upgrading? Try to see the sliver lining...
