Well its come down to how to I control my junk. Well I searched the thing we call internet. I have came with MEGASQUIRT is the ansewer
I was going to repin my harness and use a LA2 an get Tweecar or something similar. But hell the stuff $380.00 for the basic kit. EEC-Tuner same price. Then got more reading into MS!+2 hell i get every thing need for less than $400.00 bucks. Just have to program the megatune software, plus I like the process of getting rid of (VAM)
THIS is the email I sent Diyautotune.com yesterday:::
Yes I'll try keep this as simple as possible. I have a 1991 Mustang LX with a 2.3 NA dual plug head motor with 5 speed, Which I am converting over to a 1986 2.3 turbo motor with a c4 auto trans. I have been trying to figure the best way to convert to Megasquirt the easiest and low cost effective way. This is what I came up with:
1. EEC-IV Adapter Board kit
2. MegaSquirt-I Programmable EFI System PCB2.2 - Assembled Unit [MS122-C]
3. MegaSquirt-I or II Relay Cable [MSRelayCable]
4. MapDaddy 4 Bar MAP Sensor with Barometric Correction [MapDaddy4]
This is a list of things that i think I will need I will be repining the the FORD factory harrness to run the LA2 FORD EEC that is a 1987 Ford Thurderbird Turbo Coupe with a 2.3 turbo. The questions I have are:
1. Will the EEC-IV adaptor board work with the turbo coupe configurations
2. When I repin the FORD factory harness there will be things i dont need:
Vam meter (the Mapdaddy will take care of that) CORECT OR NOT?
the is a few other things I think I dont need but I'll figure it out and get back with you!!!!!!!
3. I will be using a MSD 6AL BOX,,,,Do I wire the it like a standard TFI system like MSD say in the instructions or do I wire it like in the Diyautotunes instructions for TFI with a MSD box ?
4.When adapt relay cable from the Megasquirt box to the FORD EEC factory harness do you have a diagram of the pin outs or are the can figured for different types of FORD factory harness THIS IS WHATS BUGGING ME THE MOST??? thanks jeff
Now want to know you guys think (stinger, matt cullpepper) Is a good route '
Or can i just tie the realy cabble into the factory harness more less just hard wire it in. I have read up on the Megascott EEC-IV adaptor board but it does not go in detail about pin routing.
I like the idea of not cutting up the harness like "stinger's 91-93 mustang turbo swap" article in FAQ's I have read it,
printed it read again. Love it ;D
My conclusion is to do the EEC adaptor, run /MSD box,MS1 with extra code, just theres alot wires I want need
1.VAM wires or MAF wires
2.knock sensors wires
Any imput or a cost effctive way or this the way to go
