I run plugs that are stock for a Saab 9-3 turbo. They are NGK, came gapped to .028 and are a step colder than stock. NGK # BCPR6ES, stock # 2330. I got them from Summit racing.

which esslinger aluminum head are you running? the D-port l just got called for an autolite 103 which seems to be identical to the stock iron head.

In the past, all Esslinger heads use the same "non-stock" plug design. They may have changed how they machine them. The thing to look for is whether they take a tapered seat, or a crush sleeve on the plug.

the one l just got takes a tapered plug, like the stock head, according to the plug # they suggested with the paperwork

Yes, they switched to the taper plug design at some point. Just have to look at your head before you order plugs.
