Does anyone have a tune or just a VE table from a 5.0. The base tune i got with my megasquirt 2 will not work. I can get the car to start (very hard) but it will not idle. It surges real bad then shuts off. Does it at all temps. The afr gauge reads lean but it smells rich. Any ideas would help. Thanx.

DIY auto tune they said the base tune was for a fairly stock 5.0. I figured mine wasn't too radical It would atleast start and run. Also forgot I have 24lb injectors and equal length shorty headers H-pipe without cats. The MS2 I got was already assembled. The one thing I see when going through all of the settings in TS is that in the ignition settings I have a few that are highlighted red and it says that the ecm needs rebooted.

You'll need to ask DIY about the red cells/rebooting. I can send you a VE table you can try but it's ready for boost rather than only to 100kpa like your current table. I'd need to email it so let me know your info.
It will be only the ve table, you'll have to use the import feature in tunerstudio.

Thanks Stinger My email is cfisher619@hotmail.com. That will atleast get me pointed in the right direction I think. I tried to adjust the VE table to see if wants more or less fuel and it really doesnt respond either way. I didnt adjust much Im afraid of causing any damage. So your table might atleast get me closer. Thanks again

Email sent.
FYI, you can't really damage anything by adjusting the tune for cranking/startup/idle. Super lean or super rich won't hurt it under those parameters. In other words, don't be afraid to add or subtract 20-30% fuel in an attempt to find the sweet spot.

Got the email. Your VE table is WAY lower than the one i got from DIY in the idle areas. Ill try it out Sat. and see what happens. Thanks again. Im sure I'll have more questions. I'm a total rookie with efi.

As far as the red highlighted areas (if comes up again) is just saying that if you change those settings you need to reboot the MS2 for it to take effect. It doesnt mean that it needs a reboot because of a problem.
