I'm a little confused about the timing map. I copied stingers cause my manifold was getting a lil red after only a lil bit of 2000 rpm reving after warmup while parked in the garage. It was the base timing map that was in my megaquirt so i assumed it was too agressive like stinger said in his timing thread but now im having trouble getting it to start with his map. When i had it running I verified that i had 10deg timing when it was commanded 10. Sooo With EDIS am I still supposed to have a map that somewhat represents Stingers or is that only for a stock distributor setup? Also after it was all warmed up i shut it down and waited a little bit and tried to start and it wouldnt fire up. I dont know y that is either???

The engine's timing requirements don't change for different ignition setups. I'd take a close look at how much timing you're getting while cranking with both timing maps (to verify they are both commanding the same cranking timing like they should) and then once running, verify that commanded = actual when revved up.

would you like a 16x16 map you can import into your MS3?
