Stinger are you using MS2 to control the idle in closed loop mode or just warm up?

I have no MS2 idle control right now. The esslinger head has a slightly higher surface where the cam cover bolts on and this raises the cover enough that the IAC valve hits the cam cover breather and won't bolt on. Until I replace the breather with a 90 degree fitting, I can't run an IAC.

are you using more timing at a bin just below idle to catch a falling idle from a rev or power steering with ms2?

Yes, I've got 38 degrees from 900-1500 rpm and 42 degrees at 800 rpm and below. Idle drops 50-100 rpm with the fan and lights on.

OK, things are coming together finally. I've got boost control working properly finally, I've got launch control working and I'm dialing in those settings. I'll have to finish that at the track though because slicks on the street just go up in smoke on launch. I've got fan control working. I've found and fixed some pretty large boost/vacuum leaks. I've figured out the boost gauge reads 6psi lower than actual (new one on the way here). I've got the Firmware in the MS2 updated (which required a complete retune). Tonight I pulled the valve cover and checked the valve lash while it was hot to make sure it was within spec. I'll put it back together tomorrow.
What that means is, I'm ready to go to the dyno! I plan to do an hour dyno session sometime this week. My goals are to 1) dial in the timing map so I have a perfect pump gas timing map, 2) see how much boost I can run on pump gas before I reach the stock rod hp limit (around 415-430rwhp) so I know what not to exceed until I upgrade the shortblock, 3) if I have time, I'll play with cam timing a little bit to see what it does to the hp curve.
After that, I need to do one thing before I can go to the track: install the driveshaft hoop.
In the meantime I fixed my GTech (it randomly quit working sometime over the last 6 months) so new I can do some before/after testing on the street and have a good idea what it will run when I go to the track.

Which one? I've only got 40 or 50 of them Unless you've got a professionally ported head and stg 3 cam, my MSQ will be completely different than what you need.

Just a little vid we took last night...turned down to 17psi which is where the baseline dyno run will be.
Testing the Launch Control settings and trying to figure out how to launch it effectively, making a few test passes. Passing the camera at about 110mph.

Hi stinger I just want to see your timing ma p that's all that's why I wanted the msq. Btw that vid is insane I'm going to the dyno in the morning to dial in the timing map, then it will be perfect. The aluminum head should require a few degrees less timing than an iron head though.

4.10 rear gear but I've got a 5.0 trans with 2.95 first gear and 0.63 overdrive so it's more like if I had 3.2x gears with a 4 cyl trans. As an example, I can go 108mph in 3rd gear.
