I have had issues with getting a thermostat housing gasket that seals. Seems that over time the housing can warp slightly, and corrosion and pitting can cause issues. In my case, with the gasket done in grey RTV on both sides, it still leaks, it actually seems to be seeping slowly through the gasket itself.
So I though I would share a solution.
Fel-Pro makes a Perma-Dry gasket for these, part# 35114T It is a thicker gasket made from plastic, not paper. It then has molded nitrile rubber rings on both sides. Using RTV should not be needed with this gasket Just thought I would share this. They claim it fits Ford 2.3L for '1994-'95, but it is the same gasket for the previous years and fits on the turbo motors great.
