wanted to know what to set the ring gap to any help i was thinking area of 26

uuuh first lets lay out a few more details.
Assuming you are talking about a piston ring gap, are they stock replacement rings or aftermarket?
The factory ring gap is: Top ring- .010-.020 2nd ring- .010-.020
if you are doing this yourself, (you have a powered ring gap grinder and you really want to make it correct), you can order an oversize ring bigger than your cylinder. This way you can cut the gap to whatever you want which is tight to spec. I just crammed my in and went with it. Ring gap was about .013

Typically you run a bit more on the upper ring than the second because it will be subjected to more heat and therefore expand more.
