Why is it better to get aftermarket oil, coolant, and tach?

There isn't a closed circuit anymore those green clips have the wiring for the factory gauges( by where the ecu is). So I'm going to run aftermarket gauges.

Why is it better to get aftermarket oil, coolant, and tach? If you have tested this harness, please give me some insite on how you wired the gauges or pictures . Rite now I have to drive around with my laptop because they don't work.

If there is no provision for the gauges on the new harness, cant you just run wire from your sensors to your factory gauges ? splice into the original wires that run to them ?
