Down side to using merkur swap over tbird etc??

i know of a 2.3t auto merkur for 300$ any down side to using this i know is has a smaller VAM and the computer isnt as smooth as say the tbird 87-88 setup

i just picked up an 89 2.3 notch with a 5spd

Nothing wrong with it other than there is no swap page to guide you through the wiring with that ecu. Ideally you would pick up that car, and a big vam and 87-88 TC ecu and you'll be good to go.
