I bought this old Pinto racer a few years ago, mostly stripped and beat up but clean. We stripped it out the rest of the way and did most of the body work this winter before I got distracted by an old BMW( my fault, I know, I know) Recently, I found this board and started reading of the exploits of a bunch of folks just as adventuresome(possessed) as me, and I got inspired. Maybe I needed something to spend money on as the BMW is not broken! Whatever the case, I dug the old Pinto out of its pile and started stripping down the motor and asking questions. I'm havin fun. Here is where I begin. Thanks for lettin me share. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Had the day off and was able to strip the LA3, and upper and lower intakes for shipment to stinger. They will come back PiMP and beautiful!. Was also able to work on the exhaust manifold. Now I know why you don't offer that service! Got the outside cleaned up, engine side hogged out, now will match outer the turbo I don't have yet!

Match it to the metal gasket and then do the same to the turbo when it arrives. Also you can grind a lot out of the corner of the port between the turbo flange and the port going towards the front of the engine to smooth the transition so the exhaust can turn into the turbo easier.

Well, the Pinto has again been shoved onto the back burner in favor of this. I picked this tube frame monster off craigslist. As you can see it is set up for blow through but we will get it switched over to FI and PIMP ASAP.
