I just got this car a few days ago and the I/C hose had a rip in it. I got that fixed. Now when I'm at a stop light it has a miss. it also does it when I'm driving and the rpms are under 2000. it seem to go a way above that. I put new ford cap, rotor, and pugs and wires. What else could it be? The old plugs looked good not all black and no oil on them, also what should my fuel pressure be set at? With the vac line hooked up it's 40 and 50 with it off. It goes up above 50 when I give it gas. I'm seeing about 18psi on the boost gauge. The vacuum is 25 is that good? Thanks for all the help. I got to get this thing running good so I can take it to the track to get some times. Then its time for some of stinger's parts. I got a few friends with 5.0 that say they will smoke me.

All of these cars have an idle stumble or "hiccup" as I call it. They will idle smooth and then "hiccup" every 5-20 seconds. Is this what it is doing?
Stock fuel pressure is 34 or so with vac unhooked, 38-40 hooked up. All stock this should be the proper pressure. Sounds like it already has some mods so where the pressure should be at now is hard to say. Too little and it will detonate (rattle) and could blow a headgasket or melt a piston. A little too much will slow it down some, way too much will cause a rich misfire.
That is plenty of vacuum, normally they are 18-22 or so.

Yes that is what it is doing. I will check the plug for color. the car seems to pull good. I have to get a temp and oil pressure gauge hooked up. Then I will take it to the track. Thanks for the help
