I'm going to be buying the complete 3" single exhaust system from stinger. I'm looking for a header to replace the manifold. I want to keep stock location as I'm going to use the stock intercooler. I figure if I'm upgrading the the downpipe and tubing I should upgrade to a header or port the manifold. If anyone can send me in the right direction for stock location header. I can only find center mount or one stock location header for 850.00. Thank you for the help

Stock location is such a compromise in terms of packaging (poor entry angles, poor exhaust elbow angles, etc.) that porting a stock E6 manifold typically results in similar performance for less cost while having great durability.

Does relocating to center mean I lose the ability to use stock intercooler? I would think so. I'm not looking to build a race car. Just a hot street car. I put k&n filter, have gillis on order. Next I was going to do your exhaust system. Then t5, fuel pump/ regulator, then t3.
If I do your system will it still work if I do center mount and your front mount in the future?

One more thing if I buy separately I saw 3" down and 3" tail pipe. But I didn't see the section that connects muffler to down pipe..

Yes, moving the turbo means no more stock intercooler. A ported E6 will support close to 400hp at wheels. You'll be under 250hp with those mods. On this page of our site: www.stinger-performance.com/stockparts.html directly below the downpipe is the "complete system" single and dual exhaust systems (everything from turbo to rear bumper). Between those two listings is "Mustang or Turbo Coupe 2.3 Turbo 3" Single Exhaust" which is the downpipe and midpipe (from turbo to muffler inlet).

You should really consider a front mount intercooler if you want a hot street car.

@stinger-performance How long does shipping normal take to spokane wa 99206 on the 3" single exhaust(downpipe&midpipe, magnaflow) aluminized steel? reason i ask i will be out of town tell the 21st. also with the 3" single exhaust no tail pipe which side has better clearance passenger or driver? does this exhaust qualify for the discounted exhaust clamps? i will order after i confirm this information... thanks for your time

It would arrive before the 21st if ordered now. Typically it takes a day or two to get it out the door here, then 3 days to arrive in Spokane.
The clamp "discount" works with any order as it's just removing the shipping cost from the clamps so you're not double charged for shipping.
Clearance is the same on both sides but passenger side doesn't allow you to add a tailpipe in the future and I don't find too many people that aren't annoyed by drone with no tailpipe.

Ok looks like I will order next week.. I actually might be getting a t3 sound the same time. So I should order the elbow kit, down muffler then. Are you saying the drone is to loud? I wanted magnaglow and they don't work with tail pipe? What muffler has best sound and performance? I'm not keen on dynomax but maybe that was the recording.. Really appreciate your time. If the t3 happens I will probably be asking couple more questions. I will want 3" elbow, no flange down ( so it can be welded, midepipe and muffler.. After exhaust.... Front mount

All three mufflers sound very similar, close enough that you can't tell which is which if you're not hearing them all at the same time. Straight through designs (Magnaflow, Dynomax) offer the best performance.
I don't know what recording you're referring to.
Without a tailpipe, the sound reverberates off the ground and the bottom of the car and it makes it quite loud inside the car and hard to hold a conversation or hear the stereo or anything. Adding a tailpipe gets the sound waves out from under the car so it doesn't reverberate between the ground and bottom of the car.

ok so things changed a little. i just bought a t3 from paul leduc. but it doesnt have the 5 bolt flange/elbow. this is what i need 3" elbo internal wastegate(no core) $150 3" downpipe version 2 no flange $100 3" midepipe $160 3" dynomax $100 3" clamp $13.5
welding elbow to down, welding muffler to midepipe, clamp for midepipe to downpipe
and possibly oil return/oil feed $115
Does this look like everything i need for t3 swap and exhaust? do you do multiple item discount for these items?

Looks like everything.
I'd HIGHLY suggest not welding the muffler to the midpipe though. Not only does it make it impossible to remove without cutting, it also doesn't allow you to adjust the fitment in the future (like if you want to add a tailpipe), and worst of all, it burns the aluminized coating off the exhaust, opening it up to rust. All that can be solved for $13.50.
No discount for the items.

@stinger I just ordered the 3" elbow t3 no core. assuming it will take over a week to get. im out of town tell 21st..
muffler question.. does the flowmaster really hurt performance? will the tailpipe fit with magnaflow? just tighter? not as clean?
will be ordering everything else middle of next week, while on vaction.
