I know it has to be in a certain spot, but does anybody have any photos of where they installed their ACT with a stock(ish) intercooler installed (not a FMIC)? I know the 88 TC intake has a port in the lower intake for it, but from what I have heard, that is not a good spot for it, am I correct?
Thanks!

With a stock intercooler there is nowhere that isn't in the "heat soak" zone since in order to avoid heat soak you have to get the sensor away from the heat that rises from engine/turbo and the entire stock system is above the engine/turbo.

So in order to run the PIMP, do I have to have a FMIC or is there an alternative that I am missing?

No, you can use it with a stock setup and stock ACT location, you just may have some heat soak issues that can cause a less than perfect tune on hot starts. Some people never seem to notice it with stock setups, others do.

Where do I mount it on an 84? There is a threaded plug on the upper manifold on cyl runner 2. Will that work?
