86 mustang svo. Saved for and Built this over the past decade in steps. Finally finished after loads of hold ups and machine shop delays. Have approximately 5 passes on it so far with most parts working. Best so far 8.2 @ 86mph. 1.9 60ft. Feel as though it should be faster though. Last pass was 8.4 et. 2.0 60ft. @ 85. Damaged a bushing in the rear that disabled me to keep running this past week. I feel as though something is holding it back. Possibly the turbo or boost. Wastegate is 18 psi and runs 18 until I get moving WOT 3rd gear and up. where it keeps creeping upwards into 20s to 25. Didn't happen until I removed the VANE AIR METER. Guessing it was the largest flow restriction prior to removal. Now I think the turbo is. Any thoughts are GREATLY APPRECIATED. Run down of the car.
86 mustang svo. Full interior. Esslinger D-port head and valvetrain, cleaned up W/ a conservative port and polish, 2277 roller cam. Degreed and e-barred straight up. Fidanza cam gear. Mls head gasket, polished crank rod bearings re-stroked cut 10 under, crower sportsman floating rods, stinger cp pistons, eBay header welded and wastegate angled & opened. Turbonetics t3/t4 50 trim stg3.63ar. Tial 38mm waste gate 18 psi. 3 in. Downpipe to race bullet muffler. Stinger Pierburg boost controller (unused so far). 40 bob upper and lower intake manifolds, 65mm t-body and adapter t-coupe serp belt w/o A/C, Paxton fuel regulator, walboro 255lph pump, stinger deka 80lb high Z injectors, msd coil, blue streak cap, ford plugs and wires, stinger FMIC and BOV, k&n filter in fender, for my favorite part> STINGER PIMPX ECU! Ms109 fuel. Stinger SPEC 2+ clutch. FMS 4in Alum. Driveshaft. 8.8 rear welded tubes 3.73 FMS gears and differential and girdle. Moser 31 spline fox length sn95 brakes. North race car brackets. Tubular control arms. Poly bushings. Solid uppers. Torque box reinforcements and subframe connectors, HOOSIER DOT radials 275/60/15. Hurst line locks and shifter/ stock on t5.
