Bought the mount for my 92 mustang. I removed the 2 washers and nuts, mounted it against the seat but it still is too close to the floor. Just wonder if power seats make a difference since I can raise/lower the seat? Don't think being a convertible would make any difference. haven't thought about until now, could I install it upside down so it tilts the fire extinguisher bracket upwards instead of down. Using the HR3 model as suggested

Are you sure it's not upside down currently?

that's the problem when the shop is 80 miles away. And once I get there no/poor internet service. And at the moment I am not sure

We've never had anyone else report any fitment issues so my assumption would be that's the problem. Flip it over and if there are still issues we can revisit it. Take pics if possible.

Checked and I did install it correctly. Drilled new mounting holes in the bracket so the extinguisher nozzle faces the drivers side. put a set of washers under the backseat rails. With the seat all the way down and back the back of the bottle slightly rubs the carpet tunnel. Could have bought the smaller HR3 bottle. Very seldom drive with the seat fully back and I'll raise it just a little. Like the idea of having a bottle within close reach with a modified car.

I think the problem might be that I have a convertible and the seatbelt retractor is mounted on the back floor. The video shows his belt is fastened with a bolt through a narrow plastic sleeve. Makes it a tight fit with the 2.5 lb bottle

Maybe that's the difference.
