This is my, new to me, Thunderbird TC. I had a buddy, who's dad had one when we were growing up. It's what got me into cars. I was mainly a 79-93 Fox Mustang guy forever. Couldn't pass up this car. Bought from an 87 year old man. Never done a Turbo and my head is spinning a little bit. It has dual exhaust (haven't checked the size yet) and a manual boost controller set to 15lbs. I'm thinking first things first will be a 3" down pipe and a FMIC. In the end, I'd like to see the 300hp range, so I know I have work to do, especially with it being an auto. What are some of the first mods, I should be thinking about? I've been to the FAQ page, so I have an idea, but just curious. Any info would be most appreciated!! Looks clean!
The FAQ lays it out pretty much. Basically none of the stock electronics will support 300hp at the wheels (ECU, VAM, injectors, fuel pump), nor will the turbo. So along with upgrading those items, you'll need the exhaust and FMIC. Porting and a cam upgrade will certainly make it easier as well (same power at less boost = more reliable).

She's perfect. Everything works down to the original equalizer and power antennae. I appareciate the insight. I'm thinking the quickest and most doable right now would be a 255lph fuel pump (kirban fpr), ported/gutted upper and lower, 3" downpipe, ranger cam and FMIC. Do those make sense for now?
Also, do you have a 3" down pipe for the stock IHI? I see the one for center mount header.

Yeah, that's a fine basic setup that should net around 235-245hp.
In the "stock location parts" section of the site is the downpipe for stock location turbos (stock manifold). You were looking in the "header parts" section.
