Almost done doing the 2.3 turbo swap in my 89 Mustang, and the 2.3t is from a 87 Merkur. Now with the Air charge temp sensor (ACT Sensor), the Merkur never had one and there is not a spot on the lower intake manifold for one to thread in. Now my question is, can I drill and tap into my intake plenum for the ACT sensor or is it necessary to find a manifold that has the spot for the sensor built in for it. Thanks in advanced!

The ECU doesn't know how you installed the sensor so you can drill and tap if you want. Putting it in a spot less prone to heat soak is even better...Post intercooler tubing not above engine for example.

Okay awesome, that is what I figured but just wanted to make sure before I did anything. Thanks so much!
