Hello, can I get some electrical help. In the last week my turn signal went out so I started to check for bad bulbs and fuses. Seems I had a blown fuse #5 with 15amp fuse for turn signal etc and bulbs are good. But I noticed after changing fuse and turning key to on it blew the fuse. Checked all the wire and harness in fuse box but no explanation. Things I’ve done; new turn signal flasher multiple fuses and used a buddies turn signal switch which works on his car and that’s it. Any thoughts?

Check the bulbs. I've had bulbs short to ground.

You've got a short to ground somewhere. Could be in the wiring, could be in the bulb or socket.

Checked every harness/wire in all rear tail lights also bulbs. Did the front aswell but still popping fuse #5 only. Hazards do work and since same part # I switched flasher fuse to see what happen and pop a fuse. Put back flashers fuse and hazards still work. So I lost don’t know we’re else to trace a bad found.

Checking volts with key on or off? Will a multimeter work? Check with new fuse, no fuse/blown?

You'll be reading ohms to check for a short, not volts.
Since there are so many items on that circuit, it's likely NOT the blinker wires that's causing the problem.

Did a ohms check on every light bulb harness for front and rear lights. Every light harness had ohms readings except for the side markers located in front passenger and driver side fenders. These have no reading at all. Don’t know if this is the culprit but it’s a start. Thoughts?

I'm not sure what to make of those results to be honest. That's not what I'd expect. Makes me think there is a module or something between your test points.

I get a reading when flashers are on but key on no reading. Key of no reading either.

How are you connecting the ohmmeter to the harness to get a reading? Are you checking from the harness to ground?

In getting reading from harness pins also tried using only battery ground and a pin off harness and all give me a reading except to side markers. Gonna chase wire from harness to firewall see what I find.

So after days of searching one thing is the terminal door jamb switch is some wrong with those. Tested using a circuit tester and light stays on. Another thing is that when pulling passenger side door handle and holding it open causes a clicking noise kinda like a turn signal noise coming from keyless entry control module. This module is the one located in rear seats. Any thoughts?

Can you edit the above post? I can't decipher what the first line means. It needs some punctuation and spelling corrects to make sense.
