VSS is only needed for speed based features (traction control, launch control, boost by gear, etc.).

Yes to the o2 stuff, it's covered in the startup guide how to do it without cutting the harness.

Don't know what an IAB is?

Diagram on page 2 shows harness layout and what each connector does. Without a pic I have no idea.
