Posted above is the link to the final dyno pull after a good tuning session on the PiMPxs. I continue to be impressed with the capabilities of the PiMPxs. Here you have your average LX mustang. Nothing fancy just a really good combination of parts. 730 HP/650 TQ with 91 octane pump gas with Methanol Injection.
The basics on the engine combo are as follows:
Dart based 347 (4.125"x3.25") 9.5:1 CR (Pump gas)
TFS twisted wedge heads with 185 cnc ports
Custom Bullet Racing Hyd roller cam spec'd for smooth idle and boost with a target power band of 1500-6250.
Edelbrock Performer RPMII intake manifold
#80 lb fuel injectors
Paxton NOVI-2000 at 20 psi of boost, non-intercooled
1 3/4" short tube headers with 2.5" exhaust system with very quiet DynoMax Super Turbo mufflers and tail pipes.
Methanol Injection Kit shooting 100% VP M1 uncut.
Here is the wonderful part of the PiMPxs' capabilities. I run 2 of the largest nozzles offered by the Methanol Injection kit, I spray one before the blower and one after the throttle body. I use the PiMPxs to control when the meth comes on. At first I had it on PMW and was fogging it in as soon as boost hit 5 psi. I was having trouble when the Meth would start to enrich the AFR to 9.8:1 and causing a huge dip in HP. I switch the Meth to an on/off circuit and I would just turn on the Meth pump at 10 psi, with so much meth running through the engine and fuel the car was difficult to tune. I made several pulls trying different tuning options, when I finally got it. I would almost turn off the fuel injectors at the exact same time the Meth would begin to inject. The results were astronomical over 700 rear wheel horsepower. I logged a 90 degree drop in air charge temperature, which I took advantage of and started adding timing back in to it. By the time the tune was completed it made 730 RWHP and 650 RWTQ. That made the car Blown-Injected-On-Alcohol!
Thanks for all the support and thanks for making a product that actually works, and works well! Best Bang for the Buck!
