Hello group, doing this timing correct on 87 tc coupe everything is line up tdc/ cam gear/ distributor with #1 cylinder, but my aux shaft gear has a point on it to clock. It’s currently pointing towards crank gear. The thing is I don’t see a mark on back cover to clock correctly or doesn’t it just point towards cam gear alignment and or does it even matter.

As long as the distributor is aligned properly then the location of the gear mark doesn't matter. The "right" alignment is pointing towards the cam bolt centerline but it's really difficult to get that aligned and the distributor aligned together so just concentrate on the one that has to be right (the distributor).
