Hello group need some help with this code 81. Is this caused by vacuum leak.

It's a boost control circuit failure. Could be caused by a number of things including cracked/leaking hoses going to/from the BCS, a bad BCS, or even just a simple replacing of the BCS with a manual boost controller.

Yes I unplugged and replaced stock with manual adjustable controller is that why?

You're asking is unplugging the boost control solenoid would result in a boost control circuit failure?

If you unplug a component then that circuit is no longer functional and it throws a code, yes.
