No, they don't have the definition files required for the 2.3 ecu's. You can have all the stuff required to chip a 2.3 turbo ecu for ~ $150 which is way cheaper than a "one time shot" shop tuned chip anyway.

They have to know how the ecu works at a programming level and then have the equipment required to make the chips. For 5.0's, because they are so common, there are a number of companies that have done the legwork required. For 2.3's, this just isn't the case. If you want to know more about tuning, start a thread in the ecu tuning section. That way it can be preserved for others to find the info in the future.

The chips are a "do it yourself" tuning option. The ecu doesn't know whether you are running a distributor or DIS, the signal is the same. It's just wiring changes. If you want to know more about ecu tuning, start a thread in the ecu tuning section. That way it can be preserved for others to find the info in the future.

I "think" I've heard of someone using a full option superchips tuner ($650+) to be able to modify the DIS ecu. If you choose to go this route, you are completely on your own though. I just don't understanding the attachment to the DIS ecu. Why do you want to keep it so badly?

Which eec-iv do you have? D1L1? C1A1? will one of them work? i just think if some one took the time that it would be a better set-up, it would already be mass air and dis no converting. if not im just going to repin and convert to the vam leave dis then for the start im going to put a turbo on my 8 plug see how long till it pops then put the turbo motor in
