my 87 tc has a fuel switch to switch from reg to premium. my real question is what does the ecu do when i flip the switch to prem?? the second question is if i ran a j3 chip could i run 2 seperate fuel maps, one for street and one for strip, and use this switch to choose which map i want?

If you're using the switch in the Regular position, the EEC uses a different Ignition Table and sets the Boost Control Solenoid to 0% dutycycle. the second question is if i ran a j3 chip could i run 2 seperate fuel maps, one for street and one for strip, and use this switch to choose which map i want? Yes but you'll need to use the Moates F3 adapter to do this. You'll also need to wire that switch to the chip.
