I figured out why the truck wouldn’t idle there was a hose on the throttle body that I plugged up, instead I ran it to the valve covers and connected a pcv valve now truck idles, now I’m trying to wire up the wideband according to the instructions I cut off my old 02 sensor but wires don’t seem to match there are 2 white ones,1 black and 1 gray pretty sure I most likely miss read the instructions just wanted to ask to make sure

You look at the colors on the truck's harness that the pigtail connects to, not the pigtail you cut off. Best to use a multimeter to verify function of each wire, especially if colors aren't the same.

Yeah all wires seem to be black on the harness

Then it's not stock/has been repaired. Ford doesn't make all black harnesses. Break out the multimeter and start testing wires in that case.

I don't know what you're saying above, or what "rest of them' you're asking about.

Sorry about that so I finally got a chance to install the wideband so I can try out the self tuning features before I get a tuner to come take a look at it, so I was reading the instructions and know where the red, and green wire connect to and I know that the black and white need to be together as grounds on chassis for the Spartan controller but where do the rest of the wires connect to like the brown and blue wires

You don't use the serial or narrowband wires.

You are correct that you use those other 4 wires, startup guide says where to connect them.

Ok sounds good, so the grounds don’t have to be separate, cause I put them together on chassis

The startup guide says what to do with grounds. There are multiple options listed in there.

So I got it connected, put the white and black together on the chassis, the afr guage is reading 19.90 on red what does that mean

So I followed the instructions, red with purple, green to grey, other wires not needed aside from grounds black and white, I tapped those into the chassis with a screw, turned ignition calibrated to the right calibration as show on the video on YouTube but afr gauge climbs fast to max, I was gonna turn on the truck but decided to wait on it till I got a suggestion

It's just telling you that there a lot of oxygen in the exhaust since the engine isn't running.
